Golden Eagle Farm prides itself in being a responsible owner/breeder. We strive to provide loving homes to our horses that are not able to make it to the racetrack for whatever reason or those needing second careers once they are done racing. Here are just a few that have gone on to other careers:
Aerial Event, "Jojo"
"Jojo" had some airway issues and even after surgery, he was unable to run. Jennifer, who used to work here just loved him and decided he would be great for her daughter who was just getting into riding. He has been with the family since 2004 and has done everything from jumping to barrel racing! Lori, our vet tech, is also a photographer for barrel racing and imagine her surprise to meet up with Jojo at her last barrel race! And they say barrel racing is only for quarter horses!

Acquired By Law, "Andy"
"Andy" was abandoned by his owner here on the farm. Golden Eagle continued to care and feed for Andy until we obtained legal ownership of him. We were able to start him under saddle, but he never made it to the track due to a tendon injury. After a lengthy layup and multiple ultrasounds, Andy received the okay from our veterinarian to return to riding, but not as a racehorse. After some wonderful training by Irena Coz-Lucas, owner of Kastel Coz Sport Horses, we found a wonderful home for Andy and he is now an A-circuit jumper with a 9 year old rider!

Dangerous Curves, "Max"
When you look at Dangerous Curves, you can see where he gets his name. He was born with front legs that were so crooked that we very much doubted he would ever become a racehorse. Not only did he become a racehorse, but he ended up racing 7 times and never had a soundness issue. Just goes to show you the heart this big guy has. When it was time to retire him, we knew that we would not be able to sell him because of his front legs and so we took on the task of finding a forever home for him. We found that at the Taber's home. "Max" has been with them for almost a year now and is very much a family horse as seen in the following pictures.

Idol Of Kings, "Idol"
Idol Of Kings was put into training after his race career with Irena Coz-Lucas, owner of Kastel Coz Sport Horses back in May 2011. He is working wonderfully over fences and starting dressage. He is for sale, please contact Irena for more information.
